Gorgeous rooms! I have been dreaming of painted floors like that in my own home lately. Of course considering we just refinished our floors a year ago I don't think DH is going let me paint them anytime soon! LOLHappy New Year!!!~Des
I love how simple that home is but also love all the texture via furnishings, floor and walls. You take the window seat and I'll take that cushioned daybed.....lol.
omg i love simplicity and yet i always find a way to complicate things in my own home. it's the STUFF that gets in the way. i need to part with half of it and continue to edit!!!joy to you.michele
I know exactly what you mean!I have just found you via DTI but I have a feeling I will be back often. Your blog is lovely.Happy new year to you.Carole
One of the best posts, though all posts in this lovely blog are inspiring. Simplicity, a simple word yet so hard to achieve. It requires discipline not to display pieces from this or that collection, discipline to box up souvenirs bought during various travels ... [sigh] In other words, commitment to just plain, splendid simplicity. I should come back to this particular post more often while boxing up stuff!Happy New Year to Desiree, and to all friends who visit Desiree's blog.
This is such a wonderful, warm and simple home. Adore the daybed and aged furnishings. Wishing you all the best in the New Year!!
I like this first picture too. Nice simplicity and colours.Happy new year from FinlandMarika
