When I opened my new House Beautiful magazine I was smitten by this charming, chic little beach house designed by Kim Dempster and Erin Martin.
Kim calls it her "Hansel and Gretel house." Each room is inspiring and charming, but not too pretty due to the fact it's located in a coastal Marin.
The perfect marine industrial getaway! Love love love!
Such a perfect dining space!
What a total charmer...the all white makes it feel so inviting and is soooo gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWell first the rooms are gorgeous, but that also may be my dislike on these rooms. To me everything looks too staged, which is good for the magazine but not for practical use. I always think to myself "How would I use this room?" and looking right now I could only think of sit and look at it. But if I did sit in the room with someone they would need to sit next to me on the sofa because that beautiful flower arrangement would keep me from seeing them in the chair. I do like the detail around the fireplace, as well as the dining space and the little anchor door stops.
ReplyDeletean incredible mix
ReplyDeleteLoved this when I read about it this weekend. Those light fixtures they had made out of old buoys are a stroke of genius!

it's so approachable and unique. it would be a dream to occupy a property like this. just picked up a plain picnic table and am staining it white for our deck. it is making me so happy. who knew? 88 bucks, and you would think i won the lottery. it's so simple that it's perfect.
ReplyDeletesmiles and hoping you are peacefully transitioning.

Love the combo of white walls and ceilings with the dark flooring. The pitched and beamed ceiling is very yummy :-) And awesome lighting. Thanks for posting, Desiree.
