I had so much fun building and decorating our recent home. I wanted our home to feel unpredictable and not based on perfection. I want people to walk in my home and feel comfortable and relaxed.
I was drawn to these images because each space has its unique feel. The rooms feel and look as if they've been lived in and loved a lot:
Each of us as individuals should be authentic and real and our homes should reflect that!
You're right. The rooms are beautiful, but they don't look like Pottery Barn replicas, and they don't look like they are trying too hard. Such a nice artistic, earthy and unconstructed look, and yet balanced and rich and perfectly pulled together... I would love to come home to a place like any one of these...
