Aren't these color combinations fun?!  I'm loving the color combinations in the first image.

How do you like to combine color?  Do you like splashes of color in a more monochromatic schemed room, or do you like bold bright painted rooms?

The Power of Color...

I know... I know... I'm always posting images of cool hues with pale off-white monochromatic pallets.  It's time to spruce up a bit and blog about the power of color.  The glorious thing about color is its power and abundance of energy and emotion.  How can something so simple have such an impact?!

For me color has been derived from all kinds of sources from my childhood, a treasured object, my Grandmother's home, a special item of clothing, the enjoyment of the simplicity of the sea, etc...

I do love color - only is small amounts.  

Designing with color is all about choosing the feel that's right for you.

... Needing a Little Whimsy?

I have to say - the last couple of days have been long and hard!  My two boys have been fighting an awful flu bug, one of the worst I've seen.  I think it's just as hard on parents as it is on the kids.  

Sleepless nights... constant whining and complaining... it never seems to end!  One day seems like a week!

So here I am posting happy images.  They are full of color and whimsy and I hope they will bring a spark to a long winter day!
