A Long Island Kitchen...

Here is a sneak peak into Steven Gambrel's kitchen on Long Island!
I have always loved his take on design - he's always been keen on classical sensibility, but what makes him truly unique is how he incorporates an individual mix of modern and traditional furnishings... brilliant!

I have always been obsessed with subway tiles!  If I could have it my way - I would always have subway tiles be the backsplash!
Notice how the tiles have a more vintage feel - he did this by using darker grout and chipped corners... interesting.

  4. I love that kitchen! I have always wanted a long table for an island and wish I had put one in. I still might if I can get the husband over to my way of thinking...;)

  5. i cannot imagine installing chipped tiles! that is guts, man. for our marble mosaic downstairs we used cement colored grout which is perfect for hiding any stains that may happen.
