An Old Soul...

Lately I have turned into the biggest vintage junky!  You should see our condo - the walls are growing due to all the stuff I have collected for our new home.  My husband struggles, he doesn't have a clue where anything is going - he thinks I'm buying just to buy!  I keep reminding him we have done this before, every time we have sold a home the furniture went with it.  I keep close track of every object and I know exactly where each piece is going.  When I design a home I do it with the furniture in mind, knowing exactly what piece will be highlighted in each room... call me crazy!  Lately I think I really am crazy - building a house will do this to you.
I love these images below... each images has so much history and soul!

Can I just say I want to go to France in the spring so bad!  So it didn't help when I came across these beautiful images on my all-time favorite blog Greige!
When I look at these images my mind starts to think all day, "Must... go... to... France..."

Isn't this home dreamy?!
Now we can all think of France today!

Vintage!

Lately I have been obsessed with the next vintage find!  I love walking into homes where small details jump out at me, and at the same time they have a story.  Small vintage details create unexpected atmospheres with charm and history.
Imagination is definitely the secret to a life less ordinary!
As you look through these images... try to notice objects that will pop out at you in your next hunt...

"A streetlamp-salvaged from a street in Paris-hangs in the hallway of the main house.  Sliding metal panels open onto the dining room and living room.  Picture windows installed in the farm's rear walls look onto the kitchen garden, which provides fresh vegetables for residents and diners at the Char a' Banc!"    -Sebastien Siraudeau

More Inspiration from Provence!

One of my favorite weekly activities is hanging with my aunt Christie while our kids swim at the pool.  While trying to keep a close eye on our kids, we drool over images from our favorite magazines!
Simple moments with family and loved one's can be such a blast!  It's what I live for!
Christie... I love ya!!

Here are some of our favorites:

Yummy!!

When I look at any picture that carries the French design aesthetic, the first word that comes to my mind is.... yummy!!
Looking at French decor is such a high!  There is so much detail to take in, and each piece has a story.
One women that is a true icon when it comes to what I think is "yummy" is Josephine Ryan.  She totally gets it!  Her passion is all about the French lifestyle.  She is all about the thrill of the find; her gift for discovering unique, one of a kind pieces and combining them unexpectedly is what makes her renowned throughout the world of interior design!

Those teal chairs coupled with the galvanized steel door... yummy!
They both pop next to the limestone.

I can't get over that light fixture... it ties all elements together!

Such a gorgeous armoire.

This room with its rock wall and 18th-century fireplace still has warmth and is so serene.

You will spend hours looking at all the images in Josephine Ryan's books.
Her books are so timeless and each time you look through them you'll find something new and interesting every time!
