Nancy Fishelson

I know you all have seen this home many many times, but this home is truly one of the most warm, timeless, beautiful places I have seen!

Rosebush Farm is on twenty acres in Litchfield county, Ct.  Nancy Fishelson is the genius behind this charming home and just recently sold it... dang!  For four years she lived here putting her heart and soul into the structure, creating one of the most famous homes in my opinion!

I love Nancy's vision - she favors neutral palettes with hints of color through timeless antiques, allowing the space to be perfectly balanced while still having a bit of surprise.

This home makes me think of taking time to slow down to just sit back and breath.

Outdoor Spaces...

I just spent the day driving around Midway with my dear friend Lisa Martineau, owner of Brambles and Blossoms.  This woman is brilliant when in comes to creating the most charming environments, not only in interior decor, but also in landscaping.  

We stopped by this charming country home with the most beautiful garden/yard... Lisa could tell what every plant/flower was just by looking at the shriveled, dead broken plants that were barely exposed - I was blown away!!  I'm realizing I need to step it up in this department!  

Nothing I love more than beautiful landscaping and gardens, they add so much to a home.  It is an important extension of the home and reflects what the home will look like on the inside!  Every time I'm with Lisa I'm amazed at how much I learn and see the world in a new ways... she's brilliant!!  

If you're in Utah you need to stop by her store... it brings so much happiness and will leave you inspired!

If it wasn't for my sweet husband, I don't think I would have much of a yard.  He's the one with the green thumb, my goal is to become better and more educated in this area!

Loving The Barn...

 Just came across the most perfect barn!!  Rachel Halverson helped inspire this perfect sanctuary and I'm floored by her interpretation of rustic country.

I'm sure many of you follow Rachel's amazing blog called Nest Egg, but if you haven't... It's a must!!  This girl has vision!!

... I Want One!

How many of you have a charming little garden?

When I saw these beautiful pictures - all I've been wanting lately is to create a beautiful garden!

I want my kids to learn how to maintain a garden and to work outside more, rather than sit in front of computers and wii games!

I grew up on a farm in Montana and all I did was eat out of my Grandpa's garden and chase chickens around...  I have the best memories living on a farm... I miss them.

Hopefully my kids someday will be able to experience the same.

... Here's to living the simple life!!

This summer I'm going to take a little more time to live in the moment and enjoy the simple pleasures of life!

A Sea Captain's House

Steven Gambrel designed this charming home in Sag Harbor, New York.

Steven in known for his timeless, fresh innovative approach to design.  This particular home comes with the perfect combination of charm and quirkiness.  Each room has its own feel and look, but definitely encompasses the feel of a charming sea captain's home.

I LOVE this designer!  He is not afraid to push the envelope, and he does it tastefully!

I love Steven's timeless, innovative approach to design... brilliant!
