A Long Island Kitchen...

Here is a sneak peak into Steven Gambrel's kitchen on Long Island!
I have always loved his take on design - he's always been keen on classical sensibility, but what makes him truly unique is how he incorporates an individual mix of modern and traditional furnishings... brilliant!

I have always been obsessed with subway tiles!  If I could have it my way - I would always have subway tiles be the backsplash!
Notice how the tiles have a more vintage feel - he did this by using darker grout and chipped corners... interesting.

A Weathered California Beach Home...

I was scanning through some of Coastal living's images when I came across one of my all-time-favorite homes I love to drive by when I'm visiting Corona del Mar, California!
I have been dying to see the inside of this home for years - so when I came across these images you can imagine my surprise and excitement!
This home is as gorgeous on the inside as it is one the outside;  I love how they compliment each other so effortlessly!
The couple's new home encompasses the perfect combination of weathered wood with faded neutral colors to create the perfect west coast fuss-free home:

Can you imagine waking up to that view everyday?!
I just LOVE this home!  Now I don't have to sit and stew what the inside looks like when I drive by.

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

The Dhurrie Rug...

My favorite rug I had in my last home was the Dhurrie Rug!
Not only was it affordable - it was long wearing, easy cleaning and non-shedding.
I was so nervous to put a rug under my kitchen table, but this particular rug cleaned up so well and worked perfect.
If you're looking for a new rug - go with Dhurrie, you won't be disappointed!

This particular rug was under my kitchen table, it's called the Soho Dhurrie

Notice how versatile these rugs are, they go with everything!
Check them out - they're awesome!
